I found this lovely Barbie A Frame House at one of my favorite thrift stores in Atlanta, GA. It was missing parts but a great price, so of course it had to me mine!
Oh yes, there are plans to paint it and find the missing parts...one day.
In the meantime, I decided to use it to created a Barbie Gingerbread House!
Here's the house with the foam core inserts.
I used postage brown paper to simulate the gingerbread
and batting for the snow covered roof.
Fuzzy yarn created my icing...
And every gingerbread house must have candy accents!
I made fake 'candy' windows and added gumdrops, licorice and candy canes -
can't have to much candy!
I used ornaments for the train, sleds and mini gingerbread house shown below. There is candy hanging off the trees.
Wishing you peace, love and dolls, dolls, and more dolls!
That is ridiculously cute. Great work!
ReplyDeleteWow, truly amazing to see how it was done. I didn't realize that the A frame house was used.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Note to followers: This house was AWESOME! I was lucky enough to see it in person. These pictures does it no justice.
