Barbie Gingerbread House

I found this lovely Barbie A Frame House at one of my favorite thrift stores in Atlanta, GA. It was missing parts but a great price, so of course it had to me mine!

Oh yes, there are plans to paint it and find the missing parts...one day.

In the meantime, I decided to use it to created a Barbie Gingerbread House!

Here's the house with the foam core inserts.

I used postage brown paper to simulate the gingerbread
and batting for the snow covered roof.

Fuzzy yarn created my icing...

And every gingerbread house must have candy accents!

I made fake 'candy' windows and added gumdrops, licorice and candy canes -
can't have to much candy!

I used ornaments for the train, sleds and mini gingerbread house shown below. There is candy hanging off the trees.

Wishing you peace, love and dolls, dolls, and more dolls!

Have a Pink-a-licious Holiday!

Recent Doll Purchases

I had a great time at the Queen City Doll Collectors meeting. AND they had a buy/sell/trade. Yippee! I was expecting a few items on one table...there were6-8 tables! I did pretty good, my only wish I has brought more cash!

I also did pretty good at the Gary Green Doll show:

For the love of dolls!

From My Size Barbie to Lil Witchy Girl

My, my she is just lovely. The plan is to one day make her some clothes and... yeah do something with her hair. So in the meantime, I used her a Halloween decor!

And here she transformed in to a very serene witch. I didn't modify her face but I think her serene expression is kind of scary since she is hold lil skeletons.

Our tricker treaters loved her!

Brain surgery leads to...

Pepper

by Byron Lars

is stunning from any direction!

But just what is hiding in her elaborate up-do? More cascades of wavy locks? I just had to find out! My original Pepper is safe and sound in still in her hat box. This chick is going to answers these questions and more!

So I removed her hat and the netting and here is what I found:

What is that???

At first I thought it was part of her head! I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a bit of netting to support the hairdo. I did a lil' brain surgery... but she had to get the last bit -

I present -

Head Swap

I just love the articulated bodies of the LIV dolls, but never cared for the super sized heads. So what's a girl to do? Swap heads of course!

Introducing Samantha. The lovely combination of the LIV body and the head of a fairy doll. I love her! I will definitely do more head swaps.
